Will Pinkston is President of Engineering Systems Inc., where he works with the company’s technical, operational, and corporate leadership to translate strategy into action. Since joining ESi in 2011, he has helped guide day-to-day business operations while maintaining a focus on sustainable growth, organizational alignment, and the development of the people who support the firm’s client work. His role spans enterprise planning, operational performance, and long-term business strategy across a national consulting platform.
Pinkston built his career at ESi through a progression of legal and operational leadership roles that gave him broad visibility into the business. He joined the firm as assistant to the General Counsel and advanced to Senior Counsel, General Counsel, Director of Operations, Vice President of Operations, and Chief Operating Officer before being named President. Since 2011 he has worked across governance, risk management, operations, talent development, and corporate growth initiatives. He has also partnered, and still partners, closely with ESi’s Board of Directors on strategic planning, geographic expansion, organic growth, and acquisitions.
Pinkston is known for building systems that improve execution while creating space for collaboration across functions and offices. His work has included process improvement, performance management, organizational design, and the expansion of capabilities in new service lines and markets. He has helped align technical experts, business leaders, and support teams around shared priorities so the firm can respond effectively to client needs while continuing to scale. His leadership approach emphasizes accountability, practical decision-making, and the value of informed perspectives from throughout the organization.
Pinkston earned a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from University of Georgia. His combined legal, financial, and operational background supports ESi’s focus on disciplined growth and responsive client service.
