Mr. Shoss is an electrical engineer specializing in forensic investigations of accidents and claims involving electrical systems. He has extensive experience analyzing electrical faults and malfunctions suspected of causing fires, equipment damage, or personal injury. His work includes small to large scene and laboratory examinations, testing, and analysis of electrical distribution systems, appliances, and consumer products to assess performance, safety, design, and installation.
Before entering forensic practice, Mr. Shoss worked with a major electrical equipment manufacturer in roles spanning field services, power systems engineering, and product management, where he gained extensive experience in electrical products, maintenance, troubleshooting, training, power quality assessments, and arc flash studies.
He is a licensed professional engineer in several states and an active member of professional organizations. Mr. Shoss also provides expert witness services and has testified in deposition and trial.
