Mr. Christopher Porto has expertise in fire protection and mechanical engineering disciplines. His fire protection engineering expertise includes assessment of building life safety features, code compliance evaluations, and fire suppression/extinguishing system failure analyses. In addition to his knowledge involving fire protection systems, he has experience in fire alarm system design and integration. Mr. Porto’s mechanical expertise includes performing origin and cause investigation services related to mechanical and HVAC system failures.

Before entering the forensic consulting field, Mr. Porto worked as a mechanical and fire protection engineer in the design of military and private facilities. Mr. Porto has design, testing, inspection, and commissioning experience as a fire protection and mechanical engineer for the Navy, Air National Guard, Air Force, Army, Customs and Border Protection, State, and private facilities. He has also acted as a liaison between contractors and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) in facilitating amicable solutions during constructions projects.
