As a Senior Staff Consultant within the automotive group, Matthew C. Williams performs inspections, undertakes analysis of accidents, and writes reports of his findings.
Prior to joining ESi, Mr. Williams worked as an Associate Engineer with Biodynamic Research Corporation (BRC), based in San Antonio, Texas. During his time there, he conducted inspections of both subject and exemplar vehicles, performed three-dimensional scans, retrieved and analyzed data from Event Data Recorders (EDRs) of passenger vehicles, and authored comprehensive impact analysis reports. In addition to using several methods for developing crush analyses, Matthew is experienced in using HVE Accident Reconstruction software to perform momentum analyses and accident simulations.
Mr. Williams has accumulated extensive education in biomedical sciences prior to his work as a mechanical engineer. He also has over five years of experience in product design and development of consumer and automated commercial products, as well as creating patent applications for these designs. Mr. Williams' background in these fields has been leveraged to assist in cases involving biomechanics, mechanical product design defects, and patent infringement.
