Joe Jordan is a Senior Staff Consultant with Engineering Systems Inc., specializing in the aviation practice as an accident investigator. With over 20 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and piloting operations, Mr. Jordan can provide assistance in many aspects of aviation, including: regulatory guidance, maintenance records (log books) evaluation, engine and flight performance analysis, airworthiness, aircraft and component inspections, ground and flight testing, acquisition and valuation assessment, insurance claim disputes including subrogation, as well as airport ground operations involving towing and taxiing aircraft.

Mr. Jordan holds an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate with an Inspectors Authorization (IA). He has performed maintenance for FAA Part 91 general aviation, Part 121 commercial aviation, and Part 135 charter operations. He has held the position/title of “Maintenance Manager” for a Part 145 repair station and service center to many leading aircraft manufacturers such as Cirrus, Cessna, Piper, Mooney, and more.

Mr. Jordan holds a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) for Single and Multi-Engine Land aircraft. For 10 years, Mr. Jordan flew as a maintenance test pilot for a Part 145 repair station. He has flown over 30 different aircraft models and has been the Pilot-in-Command for 250+ successful maintenance test flights.

Prior to joining ESi., Mr. Jordan worked with Cirrus Aircraft as a Field Service Representative, assisting owner/operators, pilots, and service centers around the world. Mr. Jordan provided technical and warranty support for Cirrus aircraft including all major components such as Continental and Lycoming engines.

Mr. Jordan has experience maintaining and piloting many aircraft such as Beechcraft, Cessna, Cirrus, Cub Crafters, Diamond, Eclipse, Gipps Aero, Lockheed Martin, Maule, Mooney, Piper, Pilatus, and Socata. This aircraft experience includes piston and turbine engines such as Continental Aerospace Technologies, Lycoming Engines, Pratt & Whitney Canada (PT6), Pratt & Whitney (V2500), and Williams International (FJ33).

Mr. Jordan now provides expert testimony under Federal Rule 702.
