Ms. Gina Bumshteyn is a licensed professional engineer in NY, NJ, PA, CT, MA, Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator and Senior Consultant with Engineering Systems, Inc (ESi) in the Lincoln Park, New Jersey office.

Ms. Bumshteyn has extensive experience across a broad array of project types including evaluation of electrical failures, field investigations, analysis of electrical fires, code compliance, construction accidents, accidents involving various types of electrical systems and equipment, and battery failure analyses.

Ms. Bumshteyn conducts comprehensive scene and laboratory examinations to determine the mode, sequence, and mechanisms of electrical failure. Her work involves detailed inspection, testing, and analysis of electrical systems, appliances, consumer products, and electrical workmanship to evaluate operational performance, design adequacy, adherence to safety standards, and code compliance. She routinely applies the scientific method to document, test, and analyze findings in support of clear, technically grounded opinions provided to clients for use in technical, risk assessment, and litigation support to insurance companies, law firms, property managers, engineering firms and industrial companies.

Prior to focusing on forensic investigation, Ms. Bumshteyn gained broad industry experience in utility substation design, commercial electrical design, construction management, project management, and code compliance reviews. During this time, she held multiple positions including Engineer-In-Charge for all stages of various projects. Her projects included electrical distribution, utility substations, lighting, electronic security systems (including all-electronic tolling systems), fire alarm systems, electronic access systems, security camera systems, and management of all aspects of heavy construction including site safety, scheduling and general oversight.
