David Luhm is a Senior Consultant at ESi. He is a Mechanical Contracting professional with over forty years of total experience in the industry. He started his career working as a plumber’s apprentice--eventually becoming a Licensed Master Plumber. Building on his background as a Master Plumber, he became a Project Manager and an Estimator, capacities he has continued to work in for over 35 years. As Project Manager and Estimator, he has a proven record of accomplishment that spans from the actual installation of plumbing and mechanical systems to managing, both the construction and servicing of mechanical systems, estimating, and negotiating projects ranging from single family residences to prisons, industrial facilities, and hospitals. His knowledge and experience in the construction industry are reflected in the number of multidiscipline projects he has estimated and managed. Other acknowledgements include being on the board of directors of the Minnesota Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling Contractors’ Association (2001 –2008), the San Diego chapter of the American Society of Professional Estimators (2013-2020), a voting member of the Minnesota Plumbing Board (1997-2008): Minnesota Water and Gas Plumbing Code (1997-2008) and the Minnesota legislative Code (1997-2008).
