Amy Blasczyk joined Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) as a Forensic Nurse in May 2025. Her. experience includes over 29 years at Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta, Georgia as a Trauma/Medical-Surgical Intensive Care RN. As a Trauma Responder and ICU RN, Amy’s role encompassed a continuum of care from initial contact with the traumatically injured patient in the ED through ICU admission and resuscitation.
Prior to joining ESi, Amy was co-owner of a legal nurse consulting firm investigating medical-legal cases for plaintiff and defense firms in a variety of practice areas including toxic tort, personal injury, general/professional negligence, medical malpractice, correctional, product liability, nursing home and board matters.
As an expert witness, Amy’s clinical experience is invaluable in determining deviations and adherence applicable to the nursing standard of care. Amy has provided deposition testimony regarding breaches in the standard of care (SOC) regarding titration of vasopressors, slip and falls, wound care, postoperative care/discharge, and medical equipment.
In her role as an LNC, Amy is proficient with analyzing and investigating medical records and forensic reports to create chronologies and summaries. She also provides assistance with literature research and analysis, merit screening, identifying and vetting experts, identifying missing/relevant records/policies and possible fact witnesses, identifying factors for alleged damages and injuries, audit analysis, document and radiological organization, trial exhibit and document preparation, Voir Dire, jury selection, and trial attendance.
