Construction Law Essentials
The American Bar Association (ABA) Forum on Construction Law will present “Construction Law Essentials” in a special regional event.

Taught by leading construction industry professionals, “Essentials” combines two of the Forum’s most popular programs into a two-day program covering the essential technical and legal underpinnings of construction.

Sessions will include the key elements of vertical construction systems and technology, the roles of the key participants in a project, the structure of project delivery systems, the bidding and construction process, insurance and bonding, government construction contracts, and dispute resolution.

Steven A. Sanders, M.S., P.E.
Mr. Sanders has over thirteen years of experience in the design & failure analysis of HVAC, refrigeration, and building & industrial process piping systems & equipment. His expertise lies in assessing design & construction defects, evaluating compliance with building codes & industry standards, and addressing inspection, testing, and maintenance issues. He investigates claims involving hail damage, pipe freezes, water leaks, condensation, mold, and indoor air quality (IAQ). He has testified as a qualified professional engineering expert in both deposition and at trial.

Scott A. Nesvold, M.S., M.Eng., P.E.
Mr. Nesvold provides expert consultation in the fields of Structural Engineering and Fire Protection Engineering regarding building design, structural analysis and failure analysis for all building types. In addition, his background in Fire Protection Engineering offers the expertise to evaluate fire protection systems and to analyze the effects of fire and explosions and its impact on structural integrity and life safety. Mr. Nesvold specializes in the assessment of damage to structures and their components following catastrophic events, such as explosions and fire.
