Mr. Osteroos is a test pilot, pilot expert, and aeronautical/astronautical engineer with ESi. He is a graduate of the United States Air Force (USAF) Test Pilot School, has flown/evaluated over 40 different fixed and rotary wing aircraft, and has evaluated more than 11 different hi-fidelity simulator systems. He has extensive experience in the evaluation of classical and digital flight control systems and the development of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV).
Mr. Osteroos holds a Multi-Engine Commercial Pilot License (ME/CPL) and was a Certified Flight Instructor/Instruments (CFII). He has flight tested and/or provided basic flight and flight test instruction in platforms ranging from single engine aircraft (Cessna, Cirrus, Diamond), to turboprops (King Air), to high performance aircraft (F-15E/D, F-16, T-38) to UAVs (jet and prop). He was an instructor of flight test to USAF Test Pilot School students, as well as visiting French, British, and Navy Test Pilot School students and faculty. Mr. Osteroos has over 2500 hours of flying time. He taught courses in aerodynamics, flight test, and aircraft design at the USAF Academy and has provided on-site flight test instruction for various commercial and governmental groups. He is a member of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots, the Experimental Aircraft Association, and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
