Ms. Padeway is a Staff Consultant for Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) where she works closely with the Biomechanics and Safety, Aviation, and Automotive practice groups. She holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. She has participated in Biomechanics, Aviation, and Automotive accident reconstruction projects which include slips, trips, and falls, workers’ compensation claims, premises liability claims, and motor vehicle injury analysis, including restraints, ejection, and occupant kinematics. She routinely performs vehicle and site inspections and is a certified FARO Focus 3D laser scanner operator. Ms. Padeway also holds a Remote Pilot Certification in Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems and pilots Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for ESi. Her experience includes in depth hands-on research, various biomechanics related university courses, computational modeling, and fabrication, prototyping, flight testing, and modeling of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
Two vehicles collided at an intersection, causing one vehicle to flip onto its side. The front passenger was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained serious spinal cord injuries. ESi used HVE software to create simulations of the crash sequence, and imported the vehicle motion output into MADYMO to model both “belted” and “unbelted” occupant responses inside the vehicle.
ESi's expertise spans dozens of industries and specializations organized across several practice groups, each staffed by dozens of in-house experts with the technical knowledge, hands-on expertise, and courtroom experience required to execute projects for and with our clients from start to finish.Contact Us
