Mr. Michael Van Bree has held several product design and safety positions during his 20 years of industrial employment, most recently as the Product Safety Engineering Manager/Officer for Louisville Ladder Group, responsible for safety analysis, development of safety standards and warnings, product compliance with applicable ANSI/OSHA safety standards, end-user safety training, product testing, failure analysis, incident investigations, and reconstruction.

Mr. Van Bree was previously an Engineering Specialist with Emerson Electric Special Products Division (Emerson Tool Company) where he focused on the design of bench power tools with responsibilities including project management, engineering design and analysis, product testing/reliability, and development of warnings and instruction manuals.

He specializes in mechanical design and safety analysis, human factors and ergonomics, failure analysis and reliability, and accident analysis and reconstruction.
