WEBINAR: Fatigue Failure

Overview:  When components fracture, fatigue is often the reason. But how can you tell if you have a fatigue failure? In this presentation, Ronald J. Parrington, P.E., FASM walks you through the definition and types of fatigue, how to design and test for fatigue, and common fractographic features in fatigue failures. To help bring these concepts to life, Ron will share case studies and images showing a variety of fatigue failures. This one-hour seminar is a condensed version of the Fatigue Failures lesson included in ASM International’s popular course, “Principles of Failure Analysis”.

Speaker:  Ronald J. Parrington, P.E., FASM is the Director of Industrial Services, a Senior Managing Consultant at ESi and has recently transferred to our Minnesota office from our Georgia office.  He has over 40 years of experience in failure analysis of metallic and nonmetallic materials, serves as an instructor for several ASM courses (Principles of Failure Analysis, Practical Fractography, Metallurgy for the Non-Metallurgist, and Intro to Polymers), and has presented and published numerous papers on failure analysis. A veteran of the industry, Ron is past chairman of the ASM International Failure Analysis Committee, a founding member of the ASM International Failure Analysis Society, and past chairman of the ASM Materials Education Foundation Board of Trustees. Ron is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he earned his M.S. and B.S. degrees in Materials Engineering.

Registration is complimentary for all to attend.
